If everyone in the U.S. would just see this series while token on something...... well let's just say it'd be paradise.......
This is the best Show EVER! Every one that likes movies should buy this!
Cowboy Bebop is far and away my favorite anime of all time. The combination of compelling character development, action, and humor is unrivalled. The selection of music is quite good too, mostly jazz with a few other genres mixed in. Really a must see for any anime fan; even people who don't like anime would probably enjoy this.
One of the Best Anime around this a must buy. I loved every single Session in the Series.
Cowboy Bebop is an incredible anime with amazing animation, great voice acting, and a fantastic story! EVERYONE SHOULD OWN THIS SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!
This is exactly what is wrong with the world today.
I own the Perfect Sessions, the Limited Edition DVD Box Set... I LOVED IT!!! It is full of life of happies and sadies. The characters are unforgettable, and it still keep going to the very end of the Episode. It is very long anime. It about 650 minutes and it has a bouse inside the DVD set... a CD, soundtrack of the Cowboy Bebop... it is full of atomsphere, life, happies songs. Also, the good news is that Cowboy Bebop the MOVIE is coming out this summer 2002, it happened between episodes of 22 and 23 I THINK!!! Or maybe 21 and 22nd episodes. It almost made me cry in some episodes. It is a MUST HAVE ANIME DVDS!!! By the way I was thrilled by the whole epidodes, and so my brother too!!! You won't regert it!!! It is worth it!!! I MEAN IT!!!
There aren't enough words in the English language to describe how awsome this show really is. It is the greatest show ever created.

Also, if you like it check out Big O, another great piece of work.
Well I did not see this movie but I have seen almost all of the important episodes of Cowboy Bebop and the movie, Knockin on Heaven's Door, so I know a lot about Cowboy Bebop. It has many hidden messages within the different sessions and, little by little, they explain how each character's past impacts the future of that character. The first time I saw this show on Cartoon Network, I didn't have a great idea of the storyline and it seemed very confusing. But the realism and well developed story line began to gain my attention more often and I began to watch it every week. Since then, I have concluded it to be one of the greatest shows ever created. I'm not saying this because I have become a big fan of the show but I am saying this because this show is revolutionary. The mood of each session changes and the music almost matches it perfectly for a smooth crossover from one second to the next. The last session, session 26 (The Real Folk Blues Part 2), is probably the best episode in the entire series. I am going to recommend this movie even though I have not seen it yet. Believe me, Cowboy Bebop is that good of a show. The U.S. is deprived of some of the most creative anime ideas because it takes forever for a series in Japan to come to America. And it is truly a crime because the talent and creativity of the people that make shows and movies like Cowboy Bebop deserve recognition thoughout the entier world and it should not be limited to one country. I'm sorry if my review doesn't say anything about this movie but believe me, if you have never seen Cowboy Bebop and you are a fan of great anime, then this movie will probably feed that craving.
I'm, going to start by saying that a retard wrote the synopsis. They probably just glanced at the summary. Corrections: its Spike and JET, not Jeff. Nowhere is it mentioned how the Bebop got named(nor anything about Jazz). They did not "hook up" with Faye; they actually would have been happier without her. And last, Ein the datadog did not belong to Ed. Ed came into the seried much later than Ein.
Now that thats been said, I highly recommend this series. Just dont get ripped off buying it from Yahoo. $179.99 puts each disk at $30, while thay can be had cheaper elswhere. That is, unless you think a nifty cardboard box is worth the extra $20.
This is a kick a** collection! You gotta love the theme song "Tank!" by the Seatbelts! I bought ALL the DVD's individually before this box set came out and fell in love with the artwork and the character personalities. I bought this box set for the great artwork on the box. And by the way, it's JET...JET BLACK, not Jeff! If you liked this series, you might want to check out "Big O" from the same people who created this searies!
huh what there more to say but the show is a work of genius... and i wish that there were more episodes... but hey thats how it is. enjoy what you have
This is the best anime that I have ever seen. The animation and art style is incredible, The voice acting whether Japanese or English is extremely well done. And the story is in depth, well thought out, and executed. There is a perfect mix of humor and drama in this series. If you like this one you might enjoy Trigun.
CB has all the makings of the an Excellent Anime Series. From the characters, art, CG, storyline, intelligent Sci-Fi, and Suberb soundtrack from Yoko Kanno...This Anime ranks in the Top 3...Hands Down.
P.S. Did you kinda hate Ein Too??
Maybe it's 'cause I don't like dogs...
Already a fan of the medium of Anime, I was waiting for a series which would strike me as deeply as some of the classics. Cowboy Bebop has done that with deep characters, a twisting plotline, humorous dialoge and a fantastic score to give the sessions an upbeat, jazzy feel.
The deep, engaging storyline centers around Spike, a former mob hitman and martial arts master, his partner Jet, a retired police detective, and their exploits aboard the good ship Bebop as they travel the solar system, bounty hunting to pay the tab. Later, they meet up with Faye, a gorgeous but dangerous gambler with a sizable debt and a bad case of memory loss, Edward, the young, female but eccentric computer hacker from a decimated Earth, and Ein, the runaway canine with a super intelligence and millions-worth of data stored in his head.
Together, they battle the powerful Syndicate, the center of organized crime, the interplanetary police, and even each other in the quest for the all-mighty woolong. And occasionally stopping for personal missions to clear the past, settle the score, and reclaim lost loves, Cowboy Bebop tells these tales with style, skill and jazz.
Inspiring to say the least, Cowboy Bebop is highly recommended for those wishing a deep story, characters to love and hate, and a soundtrack to keep the foot tapping. Fantastic, the best series I've seen in a while.
I am an anime fan, so I do gravitate toward this type of movie/show. It has many funny parts, but it has many more dramatic ones. While it is set in the future and has gun slinging bounty hunters as the main characters, it still remains humourus. From an anime fans perspective it has great artwork, awesome characters, laugh out loud humour, and dark tones: all the elements for a classic anime (yes, it does have stereotypical anime elements as well). Yet from a live-action movie and avid book reader I can see the rich plot, the twists, the great character development, and the humour that even people who know nothing about Japanese culture can understand most of the time. Not recommended for people who aren't offended by violence, blood, weapons, language, drugss, cigarettes/cigars, alcohol consumption, nudity, and other things that G rated movies aren't composed of. Recommended for mature audiences.
I was never really a hardcore fan of anime, but I found this series to be exciting, hilarious, contemplative as well as really interesting. Cowboy Bepop has a combination of contemporary plots and the feel of hipster values all rolled into one package. I saw one episode from this series, and I ended buying the Perfect Sessions. It's like watching a well written movie -- you forget that it's just animation.
I'm not an Anime fan, but my brother is. When he brought these DVD's over, I was thinking it would be a complete waste of time. Wrong, Excellent story, fun, engaging plot, well-defined characters, good animation. I watched the whole series several times and several of my friends have bought the set.
If all you like are very mainstream movies, this might not be right for you. But if you have any love of the somewhat offbeat science fiction, you'll love it.
