Designed to safely accommodate a child from birth to age eight and beyond, the Alpha Omega Elite Convertible Car Seat is LATCH equipped for both rear-facing and forward-facing travel. As recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics, this car seat includes a 35-pound turnabout that keeps baby rear-facing until at least age one. The car seat then converts to face forward for toddlers 22-40 pounds, and finally, as baby grows, the car seat converts again into a belt-positioning booster for children who are 30-100 pounds. For a growing child's comfort, this car seat features a full range of amenities including a padded headrest, an infant insert for newborns, a cup/juicebox holder, and a five-point safety harness. The deluxe three-position recline offers comfort for both infants and toddlers, and the soft armrests flip up and out of the way for easy child positioning. Additionally, the full-wrap tailored pad and soft pillow remove for machine washing.

    A great seat!

Pros: No rethreading the harness, 35 lb weight limit for rear facing, goes from rear to foward facing to a booster

Cons: it is a large seat, wont work to fit 3 in a back seat, dont believe that it works from 5 lbs up

This is a wonderful seat, I would recommend it to anybody! I would definitely say make sure you get the Elite model because this one has the frontal adjustment for the strap height. I do foster care as well as emergency care and respite care for othe...r foster parents so I often have different children coming and going from my car. This is great because the height of the straps is so important to your child's safety and this provides an easy adjustment without having to wrestle the carseat and go through the hassle of rethreading the straps. The one thing I would say is this is NOT the only carseat you will ever need. The lowest position for the shoulder straps is nowhere near low enough for a 5lb baby, or even one quite a bit bigger than that, but when you really think about it, who has a baby who wouldn't rather use an infant carrier for convenience. Once your baby outgrows his/her carrier carseat by either the height or weight, he/she would be definitely ready to fit in this seat. Also, it goes up to 35lbs rearfacing which provides extra protection for your little one who needs to remain rearfacing until the age of one AND 20 lbs, and is really safer the longer you leave them rearfacing. But this is the only carseat you will ever need after the infant carseat. The crotch strap also adjusts in 3 different places to accommodate all sizes of children. The seat is very spacious and comfy with the pillow and headrest. It can be installed to recline slightly in the forward facing position as well which is great for long trips with toddlers who will sleep. The booster is also wonderful. My god-daughter is 5 years old and so her mother has not been using a seat with her for a year now, but our state just passed a new law requiring children up to age 8 to be in a carseat. She doesn't mind at all riding in this seat. Instead, she feels kind of like a queen. The seat is rather large (it makes sense when you think that it is made to accommodate children up to 100 lbs) so it may be hard, especially rearfacing, in small compact cars. Also, it is wide, which it would be fine if its the only carseat in the seat, but 3 won't fit in the backseat (if you need that many seats). All in all, this seat is definitely getting my recommendation. Shop around, I think I endeed up paying between $80 and $105 for each of mine. Oh, and this carseat also has great crash test ratings! Keep your little one safe and always buckle them in fully according to the instructions! Happy Carseat Hunting! Read more Less
