    Pros: its striking individuality, and superb distillerness

    Cons: not as heavy or punky as its predecessors

    i love this album...its different, from all its competition. it beats the same sounding rubbish from other bands. although lighter and more produced and edited than SSDH and s/t, their previous two albums, i think it still works as well, though in m...y eyes, i prefer the first two. as brody says in one of the interviews, the band needs to rise up, to more mainstream punk, they have done so successfully, i think this album rocks.     I love this new CD by the DISTILLERS its the best Ive heard yet i just dont know where to start telling you about the greatness of this CD well first of all the lyrics are the best Ive seen in my entire 14 years of life lol and the music the beat th...e rythim it just speaks to me and tells me that this is the music that the whole world should be listening to over all the CD just is the bomb so get ur self to the nearest store that sells CD's and buy it because I know from experience that you won't regret buying it :D!* Read more Less

    Pros: Hard driving, pure punked out rock with ATTITUDE

    Cons: Not enough stations are playing their music.

    The Distillers kick ass, and Coral Fang is awesome. The tracks rock out completely and the vocals and lyrics are totally cool! This is the best new music I've heard in a long time. Definitely check this one out!

    This was one of my most highly anticipated albums of the year and I was not disappointed. I have been a Distillers fan for quite awhile and I know some people want their favorite bands to stay the same, but the evolution of the Distillers has been am...azing. Just as with their first two albums, I have not been able to stop listening to Coral Fang since I bought it (going on two weeks). Brody's lyrics are poetry, bloody, ravaged, messed up, beautiful poetry. No one has painted such intense imagery in a long time. Her voice and all the instruments are pushed to the limits on this album and the result is some of the most passionate rock n roll I've heard. I haven't heard someone snarl/scream like Brody screams "DON'T GO!" on "The Hunger" since Kurt Cobain. I wish I had had this album when I was fifteen, it would have changed my life. If you want a butt-kickin punk rock album, buy Coral Fang. If you want a great rock record, buy Coral Fang. Believe me, from the raw opening of "Drain The Blood" to last screech of feedback on "Deathsex," you will be on the ride of your life. Buy Coral Fang NOW! Read more Less

    Distillers are back and are giving us "Death Sex"

    Pros: Brody and the band manage still to amaze fans with the new record

    Cons: Very clean sounding for this band which is v.different

    When I first heard The Distillers i was, without doubt going to follow them for years to come and the release of their third debut record "Coral Fang" got me counting down the days to its release. So when i finally bought it, i'll tell ...you i was not disapointed. From signing to a major record deal, and having Foo Fighters producer Gil Norton produce it, i'm sure they haven't lost their punk rock, individual, rebellous routes. Yes the record sounds cleaner, well produced, even commercial in some ways, but without doubt this has not to be ignored by anybody. The first song and the first single "Drain The Blood" is one of the stand-out tracks, as Brody Dalle groans various things you can't help but compare her to "Hole" singer Courtney Love, witch many people do refer to her as. Another stand-out song which many people would think The Distillers have a quite different approch to this song, "The Hunger" which is a slower more melodic. You can hear alot of emotion in this song, and almost has that sort of "Nirvana" feel to it like alot of the songs on the album. When Brody sings she sings with the same type of emotion Kurt Cobain did all those years ago. Yes the song is alot different to many Distillers songs but still manages to hook anybody listening to actually listen to what is being said. The last song on the album is "Death Sex"which lasts over 10 minutes , but mostly noise for the majority of it, mixed with what sounds like laughing and talking in the backround under the sounds on the banging instruments. It sounds very "grunge" during it, it also has this live sound to it which is intersting. For anybody who hasn't listened to The Distillers before heres your chance to do so. With this 11 track record you'll be sure to find something that takes your pick, if not all. The albums a mixture of incredible punk rock and but some still very grunge. So heard of them or not this album is definetly not to go to waste. Read more Less

    The new cd is in one word amazing. I can't believe how the sound of the distillers has changed. From sing sing death house to this, unbelievable. Brody and the boys are the best. I can never get tired of listening to this cd. The beat, the ryhthe...m, the voice, all of it just flows. I love it. Amazing. Read more Less

    If you are already or looking to get into the Distillers I KNOW that you will enjoy this new album of theirs. Song variations from the last album are a bit different there's some songs that slow down a bit but its a great new sound for them. Br...ody Dalle's voice sounds amazing on this album and 2nd (new) guitarist really adds to the group!!I really really do suggest picking this cd up you wont be disappointed! Read more Less
