    On Cool Water, the Sons of the Pioneers re-recorded a selection of their biggest hits with a full orchestra. Predictably, the results are grandiose and cinematic, which is oddly appropriate for their romanticized tales of the old west. Though it isn't a collection of straight, traditional western songs, Cool Water is a terrific album for listeners raised on cowboy movies and television shows.
