For sonically making the otherworldly worldly, David Lynch found Angelo Badalamenti and Fellini had Nino Rota. Called upon to work the same magic as Badalamenti and Rota, Bruno Nicolai scored Il Conte Dracula, which starred Christopher Lee and Klaus Kinski. This soundtrack has a chilling leitmotif for the vampire, a theme that suggests the ominous, relentless approach of something evil.
