Congo Norvell
Congo Norvell is the duo of vocalist Sally Norvell and guitarist Kid Congo Powers (formerly of the Cramps, the Bad Seeds, and the Gun Club). Unlike Powers' previous rockabilly-influenced combos, Congo Norvell draws more on cabaret jazz and torch songs for its minimalist post-punk sound. Their 1997 LP Abnormals Anonymous featured five duets with American Music Club's Mark Eitzel.
