Not Resident Evil, but maybe a bit better

Pros: Entertaining, great storyline, good charactor development

Cons: way to dark to often

I really had a lot of expectations for this game, and it came through on all of them. The game is nicely made, however it suffers from what I call the “Splinter Cell Syndrome”. The “Splinter Cell Syndrome” is where you can tell the time and the effort that was put into the visuals of the game but the night or darkness effect takes so much away from it. Honestly, the flashlight feature could have been brighter (like in DOOM 3) to show off the great graphic better and allowed the darker sequences to be more enjoyable and less aggravating. The story and gadgets are superb and the controls were easy and responsive. A great game for the detective slash horror fan in all of us.

Creepy, gruesome, and an awesome launch title...

Pros: Great atmosphere; Fresh take on the 1st person horror genre

Cons: Controls feels clumsy here and there; Fairly short game; Replay factor is nil

I enjoyed this game and played it quite a bit. However this is one of those "win it and shelf it" games. Probably a better rental than a purchase. That said, the game is a helluva lot of fun and can definitely get the eerie factor way up. The ambient noise and sounds keep your hairs standing up and sudden aggressive encounters can get a nice jump out of you. There is one spot in particular in the last third of the game that is worth the "price of admission"--scared the hell out of me. Bottom line: buy it on eBay or rent it for a long weekend, cut off the lights and enjoy.

Pros: Very realistic

Cons: Is a violent game NOT for kids

I love this game it send shivers down my back when I play it. I love that you have to remember where you left or saw things. I love having to really think about things. Excellent graphics and sound. I would recommend this to any one who likes CSI and Crime fighting shows. You use forensic evidence to try to catch a killer. While at the meantime trying not to get killed by the addicts.
