While the original Tribute to Britney Spears was made passably entertaining on the strength of singles like "Baby One More Time", "Stronger", and "Oops I Did It Again", its counterpart is left to impersonating Britney without the safety net of a few surefire hits. BigEye's stable of studio musicians can't handle the Neptunesconstructed bump of "I'm a Slave 4 U", and things keel over from there, since the only track with any real recognition outside of the singer's core fan base. "What It's Like to Be Me" has some sizzle, and an electrojazz take on "Beat Goes On" is understated and cool. But the latter is really a cover of Sonny Cher, since it's pretty difficult to cover another singer's cover of a particular song. Listeners who were swept away by the first BigEye tribute to Britney might be interested in this release, but that's about it.
