    Pros: Price

    Cons: Dead

    Bought this item when it first came out and loved it. It completely died on men and I sent it on for warranty service. Motherboard, video card and hard drive were all replaced. I went without for about 4 weeks. The notebook came with a 200gb hard dri...ve and they replaced it with a 100gb. I've emailed HP back and forth with some call escalation and someone would call me over a week ago. What is the big deal with replacing a hard drive? The warranty service went very smoothly but, dealing with Customer Service now sucks. Read more Less

    Died in 4 months with daily use

    Pros: I got a price deal at 399

    Cons: It died in 4 months

    Used the the system daily for 4 months when it became completed unbootable. I examined the drive with an external enclosure and it was fine. I sent this info to HP with the computer and it came back with a different make of drive all my data gone and... it died in the same way again on the 2nd boot. I am shipping the system off again. Both times HP has been very responsive in sending a prepaid shipment box but well see if the 2nd time is the charm. This situation concerns me since I see another reviewer that says their system died in 6 months. The microphone on this system went bad in a couple months as well. I will give any company a 2nd chance but it's a good thing I held on to my toshiba XP laptop that I purchased in 2004 and with my upgraded memory to 1 GB seems to perform just as well. I would be pulling my hair out w/o my toshiba. Read more Less
