Sunset Black offers a unique, and deep listening experience. Their lyrics would be an example for all pronounced and aspiring musicians. Off the album I like Silent Regret the best, but rest assured you will not find it difficult to listen to the e...ntire CD over and over. The band has been together for quite sometime, making them even more refined than other bands. Between their blend of lyrical genious, and the musicians talent, I look for Sunset Black to be a top contender very soon. I would urge anyone to pick up a copy of this album, you wont be sorry. Pro Reviews: Common Ground

  • All Music Guide

It would be foolish for someone to not find the driving, melodic songs found on Common Ground to be emotional, as this word could easily be Sunset Black's middle name. Their full-length debut is a dynamic hard rock behemoth that oozes passion from every enunciated vocal and aggressive guitar pluck. Discovered by labelmates Nonpoint, Sunset Black shares the emotive vocals akin to the aforementioned group, yet fuels their songs with lyrics full of mesmerizing depth and solid song structures. This results in an impressive album that runs the gamut of one's emotions, from despair to anger to love, and should appeal to fans of such bands as Staind, Thursday, and Dashboard Confessional.
