Comic Book: The Movie (2004)

As it follows its main character, Don Swan (Mark Hamill), a grade-school teacher/filmmaker, this parody pokes fun at both the film and comic book industries. Comic books, with their action-packed plots, striking visuals, and universal stories of good vs. evil, always have provided fertile ground for potential film blockbusters. This film follows Swan as he attends a comic book convention (filmed on location at Comic-con in San Diego, California) to film a DVD documentary featurette about a comic book, CODENAME: COURAGE, slated to become a blockbuster. What the studio doesn't know is that Swan is an obsessive fan of the comic and has his own agenda for the documentary.
