Pros: many
Cons: none
the myles davis question will certainly haunt anyone who hears it...
this movie really moves with a purpose and foxx and cruise keep it going all the way
taking you to almost every part of los angeles this truely will be a l.a. movie to celebrate how diverse and complicated the city really is...but i've never had a cab driver that knew the streets like max
take care and enjoy
Pros: Jamie Foxx & Tom Cruise are excellent
Cons: camera movement a bit jerky at times; looks kind of cheap
Both Jamie Foxx and Tom Cruise deliver excellent performances against type in this film. Tom Cruise is chillingly believable as a cold-blooded murderer.
Pros: DIRECTOR MICHAEL MANN
Cons: MANN DID NOT WRITE THE SCREENPLAY
AS WITH EVERY MICHAEL MANN FILM THE MISE EN SCENE HOLDS YOU SPELLBOUND IN THE DARK. BALANCE AND COMPOSITION, MIXED WITH COLOR OF NIGHT CLOSE UP PHOTOGRAPHY, CREATE A FILM EXPERIENCE FOR THE RECORD BOOKS.

Pros: A great director
Cons: None
So many other movie depend solely on their star power to carry the film. Giving no regard to sequence, character development or even a plot. This movie has it all. Anyone with a higher standard for entertainment will enjoy this movie.
Pros: Somewhat of a suspense movie
Cons: Colors were ala Matrix
A good suspense movie with Tom Cruise as a hitman. I do think that they really didn't need him as a lead actor but I guess it sells tickets. A good DVD movie. I found that the colors were off. Plenty of action, not too creditable a plot.
Pros: Has an actual storyline worth watching.
Cons: A bit depressing.
Tom Cruise plays the cold hitman with aplomb and Foxx is a nice surprise in a serious role for a change. This pairing of actors was unexpected yet worked well. The movie itself has a 'moody', feel to it and the entire film was shot with a special process so one could get a better view of Los Angeles at night and actually be able to 'see things'one wouldn't ordinarily be able to see if the film had indeed been shot in the actual dark of night in L.A. For the most part, the movie is fast-paced and tense but there are a few scenes that just seem to drag on. In a strange sense, you actually come to understand, if not care about, the characters to an extent. The movie drives home a very 'real' and 'ugly' truth about not only a big city but in people these days in general. That being, we don't really know and care about one another anymore. Any one of us could die on a subway, train, bus and it may take quite some time before anyone would even notice...or even care, if at all. Yet 'life' goes on whether we're a part of it or not. If nothing else, the movie, while depressing, gets you to start thinking about your own mortality and what our journey here on earth is really all about. The bigger question being, in the end, does any of it matter? Do we matter? Worth seeing.
Pros: SOME WELL KNOW ACTORS
Cons: TOO LONG WITH NO ACTION
THIS MOVIE OVERALL SUCKED, THE MOVIE JUST SEEMED TO DRAG ON AND ON. THE ONLY THING GOOD WAS THE ACTORS. VERY FEW ACTION!
