When he was 14, Colin Hay and his family moved from his native Scotland to Australia and in 1979, he became the frontman of Men at Work. Led by Hay's distinctive voice, Men at Work experienced a meteoric rise to stardom in the early '80s, followed by an equally rapid decline. The group disbanded in 1986, and the following year Hay released his first solo album, Looking for Jack, which spawned the minor hit "Hold Me." His subsequent solo releases have gone virtually unnoticed outside his adopted homeland of Australia. In 1998, he reunited with his former bandmate Greg Ham and toured under the old moniker, which resulted in a live Men at Work album. Hay returned in 2001 with the largely acoustic solo album Going Somewhere and again in 2003 with a well-received collection of sparse, re-recorded versions of classic and new material
