    ABOMINATION

    Cons: Everything about it

    If I may quote Tom Gabriel Fischer: "You are either a fan of Celtic Frost or a fan of 'Cold Lake'. You cannot be both." This album is such a mistake. If you are unfamiliar with Celtic Frost, do not start here! If you are a new fan o...f CF and are looking for more, ignore this one! Utterly pathetic. I gave it 1 star only because I can't submit this review without at least one. "Cold Lake" deserves no stars at all. Read more Less

    It is more than album. Is Adventure.

    The album's sound is a combination of Celtic Frost's classic style (chord progressions and vocals) with a much more easy going glam feel. The musicianship is top notch with excellant drumming and bass work. The real standout is the guitar work. If yo...u like ravaging, glory bound guitar solos teetering on the edge of harmonic desruction, this guy is for you. I love this album. It's been in my car for days. It's very out of print and Tom Warrior, leader of Celtic Frost is going to do his best to keep it that way. To me, this album is every much as brilliant as every Celtic Frost album, but maybe I'm not that objective about it. Read more Less
