You Get What You Pay For

Pros: Digital Display, Lots of Features

Cons: Not durable. Static electricity will ruin it.

When I first opened the package, I was amazed at the features, the reception, the sound quality (when connected with headphones that have a wider frequency range) and especially the design of the digital readout. I really liked the product. I enjoy...ed using it for about four days. Today, when I was listening to it and had my thumb on the "Preset" button, I got zapped by static electricity on my arm. I felt the static on my arm, and on my thumb that was on the "preset" button. Immediately, all settings on the radio went away, it lost the station, the time setting, and now only a portion of the digital readout works. It was essentially ruined with one spark of static electricity. The warranty instructions say to mail it back and include $6, and that they will repair or replace it with a new or reconditioned unit. By the time you pay to ship it, and pay the $6, you might as well buy a new one. I am very disappointed. Based on this first experience, I will probably NOT buy another Coby product. Read more Less
