    Pros: great for the price!

    Cons: sound not adequate for serious music

    The Coby cx-144 is great for what it is: a low-priced cassette recorder AM-FM radio. I use it to record and play back my favorite "talk radio" programs. It's perfect for that. It uses only 4 D batteries, and they last long in it. OK, I... have a BOSE version that cost roughly 100 times more than the Coby. The Coby doesn't sound as great for music as the BOSE. But, the Coby is perfect for what it is: an inexpensive, lightweight, portable radio/recorder. Read more Less
