Clutch combine elements of funk, Led Zeppelin and metal with vocals inspired by Faith No More. Formed in Germantown, Maryland, in 1991, the group built a dedicated local following through constant gigging. After just one seven-inch single, Clutch were signed by EastWest Records. Soon after, they released their 1993 debut album, Transnational Speedway League.
