Smartphone
Pros: Microsoft applications, media player, Wi-Fi, handheld pc
Cons: screen alignment
I have had 3 phone in my life. The Samsung 427m which was free when I signed up for the plan, the Motorolla Slvr which I loved because it was a Mp3 player and it had a great display, and the Cingular 8125. The 8125 is the best phone I have ever had compared to the other 2. I use to be a Micrsoft person using excel and work everyday, so since this phone came with the application, I used it alot for general touch-ups on files. Wi-Fi is great and easy to connect to. So when we are in another room and we don't really need to boot up the big PC to look at something on the internet, we can just run the Wi-Fi and connect to the pocket pc. Another great thing about this phone is the sync. At first it was confusing how to syncronize everything to the pocket pc, but after actually reading the manual, it comes naturally.

Pros: Excellent features
Cons: Large, kinda slow, no A2DP, or GPS
I like my phone! When I do not have access to a computer, its a good (temporary) replacement. You can do everything and or access everything on the 8125 like you can a PC. But its slow and files can be heard to find, plus the memory gets full QUICK... But I still like my phone!

Cons: Short battery life; more addictive than myspace
Once you master the manuverability, you easily become dependent on its endless features. You definitely want to grab a memory card for this one. Just think of that 50$ to 70$ as the cost of maximizing its potential.

Pros: Love the windows media player, takes AMAZINGLY clear pictures, can't get enough of the sliding keyboard!
Cons: Should have a little bit more memory.
Got this phone recently and I love it! I text even more since I have the pull out keyboard, I listen to the windows media player all the time, and the pictures are so clear! They come out like a real digital camera photos!

All Microsoft office programs. Full internet, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi. Comes with 2 stylists, removable battery, case included. Charges through any USB, car, or wall outlet. Mini SD card slot put your own music ring tone on for free. Camera is great video is only as good as cell phone video though. Vista 64 supported. Updatable firmware.

Pros: keyboard, solid feeling, screen, overall use
Cons: size, processor speed VS newer models
I had a blackberry 7290 prior to the 8125, but I missed out on video and camera features. I prefer a wide keyboard as well, and the 8125 has it. I use the darn thing every day, and even though the 8215 is not G3, I can still watch live tv on it in my area with SmarTVideo loaded.
I like the solid feel of the device. Die-cast metal feels better to me than the plastic feel of the "Q" and other phones I have looked at.
I am waiting for G3 to be available in my area, then I will upgrade to the 8225. I don't care for the iPhone knockoff that Cingular plans to offer next year, again the keyboard issue, so the 8125 and 8225 make the most sense to me.Was this review helpful? Yes - No
