    Good phone for medical professionals

    Pros: all in one feature

Cons: numbers are too small on the phone screen..

this phone now replaces my old cell phone and the pocket PC tha i always carried with me in my white coat. I am a physician, and am in the hospital about 12 hrs a day and many nights. i also carry a beeper.. less the better i say.. with the expan...sion card and bluetooth, i connected a GPS tracker and map (TOM TOM)and can walk/drive with it, esp with my friends/ or in a rental.. I have my drug book, whole bunch of PDF articles in it, and i can do (but have not yet) use powerpoint for presentation. the phone is the envy of my collegues... he wants to trade his nice looking but useless RAZOR PHONE for this one. and i can also use it as a jump drive, with a big card/memory. I dont use it but can use the mp3 option for it, and on the same token, can take any clip of an mp3 song and use it as a ringer... any mp3 tune can be used as a ringer. and this means, THAT I DONT HAVE TO PAY FOR ANY RINGERS... well that's it.. it;s a great phone, would recommend it to anyone... will give this phone away when, a new pocket pc/phone/mp3/video/ phone with a laser pointer comes out.. and it has to be as thin as a razor..for me to give up this phone.. hope this helps someone. Pros: easy to use, powerpoint, great camera quality, wifi

Cons: easy to hit the send button while trying to type w in text messages, sometimes slow loading, you can't edit powerpoint presentations

This is the best phone that I have ever had. The only bad thing is sometimes you have to know where to go to make the phone better. You have to change the picture quality to 1.3 for the best quality. You have to change the configure network adapte...r to the internet (I do believe) in order to get the wifi working. If that doesn't work, call cingular and they will tell you how to make it work. I have not figured out how to delete an unwanted email account. There are many great things about this phone. The internet feature is great because you can view pages with frames. It comes with Microsoft Office - which comes in handy when doing work on the go. Also, I like the features of an adobe reader and an unzipper. Read more Less

    Pros: It does everything!

Cons: WiFi is difficult to use

I really love this phone. I've used many PDA's over the years and had various cell phones as well. I have peers with both the Blackberry and Treo and found it difficult to function. Doing one thing at a time is sometimes a challenge with a... busy work day and being able to run multiple applications with the 8125 and Windows is refreshing! I do however think the WiFi is difficult to setup and while I love have the slide-out keyboard I think they could improve upon the layout and use of the controll keys. Otherwise, its great!!!!! More phone, less PDA

Pros: Improved phone reception and functio

Cons: Slow processor, tiny usable memory

This HTC machine offers plenty of features but supplies you a slow processor and no memory to store things. This is the 1st Windows based phone that does what it's supposed to do, place and answer phone calls... It has a nice camera, can replac...e your mp3 player, carry your ibox, your contacts, and your calendar but you will have to reset your unit once a week. Compared to older Windows phones this is a HUGE improvement. Read more Less

Pros: compact with tons of features

    Cons: expensive data plan

If you prefer the Windows Mobile OS (you don't want a Blackberry or Palm OS Treo) then this is as close to perfect as it gets. The processor is slightly underpowered but it does get the job done. It performs well and the slide-out keyboard is gr...eat, except for the fact that it's easy to hit the "OK" key instead of the space bar. It also needs a longer backlight on the keyboard. Cingular charges $40 per month for the data connection, which doesn't even include any text messages. Expensive, but the network is good. Read more Less

    Pros: Better phone

    Cons: Small touch screen

The 8125 is a great improvement for a former Treo user. I've just trashed my 650.

Its a good Pocket PC phone but not better.

Pros: its a quadband phone, runs on Ti OMAP850 processor that have two cores; DSP and ARM, also do good in multimedia like games, and can play 320X240 res mpeg movies fast using the TCMP player, WiFi is great, sound quality is better

Cons: In order to use Skype smoothly you need to overclock the processor at least to 240mhz, the memory is only 64mb SDRAM, some ppc phone uses 128mb ram, not a 3G ppc phone (unlike the HTC-Universal), the camera sometimes create noise to under lighting condition and not really that acurate on lighting adjustment, brightness, contrast and etc. will freeze if I play a DIVx Movie file at 640X480 resolution, It freezes if I do heavy browsing on the internet especially when I'm using OPERA browser,I cant use bluetooth to send and received files.

The processor however is kinda fast, even though it got only 200mhz, because it has two cores in it, So in particular the main ARM core deals with the LCDs, battery, backlight,SDIO, USB, Camera, the LEDs,Infrared, WiFi, bluetooth, and a GPS if you had... one attached to its port. While the the DSP core deals with the EDGE-GPRS, SIM card, AC 97Audio hard ware, Stereo Speakers, touch Screen, Voice BT, and the GSM Clock Management. The two cores (DSP and ARM) share the work in handling Data BT,GPIO (keypad),the Graphics Accelerator, and the memory access to this ff: DDR, NAND flash, and flash. So its not really a bad phone, but I'm looking forward someday to get a ppc phone that run a TI OMAP3430 processor. Read more Less

By Kevin  Sep 29, 2006 | 2 out of 3 found this Cingular 8125 review helpful

Pros: Best phone ive yet to see

    Cons: Nothing!

I have read some reviews explaining WiFi messing up and having trouble connecting to the internet but I have NEVER had a problem with any of that, really. I think its probably the area that certain people are in, I live in Lancaster, California. All ...I have to say is this phone is amazing, it does everything, and one of the best things is you can buy extra scandisk card things that can hold a ton of movies and music and stuff, really this phone puts any other phone ive used to shame. Before this phone I used the Sony Erricson S710a and thought it was great (acctually I still do), but this phone is just... AMAZING! Read more Less

    CINGULAR support sucks

    By V G  Feb 12, 2007 | 1 out of 1 found this Cingular 8125 review helpful

    Pros: Nice phone- loved it

Cons: Cingular has a very bad support

This is my first and honest review. I love this phone from the minute I got it. The features are good and I think the performance is good for the kind of processor it has. I was even pride to have this phone. Everything shattered in a moment when... I missed my cell phone and Cingular just washed its hands in finding the location of the phone using calls made to / from that phone. When I found my phone, the phone did not come up (might be a hard hit) without any physical damage. Cingular support persons were not helpful in replacing this phone. I cannot sign in for insurance after initial 30 days and even if I choose to take the insurance this phone is in their NOT ELIGIBLE list. Where in the world a merchandise manufacturer (Cingular 8125) can say thier own product is not eligible for product insurance? Now I find this phone very fragile and you cannot do anything about it if you drop it because Cingular is not helpful at all. Thinking very hard to change the service provider as their support really sucks big time!!! Read more Less
