Synopsis: Chocolat (2000)

Synopis: When a single mother (Juliette Binoche) and her six-year-old daughter move to rural France and open a chocolate shop--with Sunday hours--across the street from the local church, they are met with some skepticism. But as soon as they coax the townspeople into enjoying their delicious products, they are warmly welcomed. 2 of 2 Yahoo! Users found this Chocolat review helpful This movie was a breath of fresh air in a time when most other flicks seem to be about teen angst or violence. It's inspiring and heartwarming, and it makes a person feel hopeful that even the most rigid of folks can change. Since most, if not all, of Johnny Depp's characters seem to be meaningful people in one way or another, I was not surprised to find that his "Roux" was another one. And I loved Juliette Binoche's "Vianne". If the world only had more nonjudgmental people like her... ...
