Mexican 12-piece tropical band los Chicos del Barrio burst into the local pop music scene mixing urban and Latin rhythms such as Cumbia and vallenato. After issuing the successful Ven a Bailar and La Lola, los Chicos del Barrio returned in 2001 with Dominando y Controlando, produced by lead singer Dimas Maciel and keyboardist Juan Angel Nájera. The album features the hit single "El Baile Del Gavilán."
