Balanced somewhere between the fun-loving hip-hop of Dilated Peoples and the laid-back gangsta motifs of Dr. Dre, Chico Coolwadda arrived on the rap scene in 2001 with their debut album, Wild 'n tha West. Aided by the production of Chris "The Glove" Taylor and the golden voice of Nate Dogg on the single "High Come Down," the Los Angeles duo sought to break into the mainstream with a new West Coast style and sound, a synthesis of G-funk and hip-hop that few had dared experiment with before....
