An album that would have shocked anybody in 1985 listening to Chicago's balladry and assuming that's all they had ever done. This album is brimming with the band's classical influences with a pop/rock/jazz sting. I don't think uneven is a proper term, but it meanders in a way that keeps the listener engaged rather than boring them. Musicality and harmony fuses well with subtle political statements, all with an underlying message of love, and there isn't anything wrong with that. Kath and Lamm hit their strides as vocalists and there are some of the best original horn arrangements the band ever produced. Cetera debuts as a songwriter, and simply provides the band with another viewpoint, adding to it's depth. A good release for it's time.

One of the band's greatest creative masterpieces! All members demonstrate their writing and musical talents to be unparallel to anyone else. A must for anyone not familiar with the roots of this great band!

All of theyir albums all good,but this one kix! It's not uneven, and the guy that said that doesn't know his ass from his elbow. When my dad was in high school, he played trombone and played in a band that palyed Chicago, Santana, Blood, Sweat,and Tears, ect. So buy it. enjoy.
