The Best Kevin Smith Movie Ever!
Pros: Jason Lee is hilarious!
Cons: There wasn't more Silent Bob moments!
This is by far the best movie Kevin Smith has ever made. It is so true to life, the characters are real people & the humor is hilarious!!! Jason Lee is amazing as "Banky" - every scene he is in, he steals! I am not an Affleck fan but I even enjoyed him in this movie, and Joey Lauren Adams is great as "Alyssa". This movie will stand the test of time and be just as funny in 10 years as it was when it cam out 7 years ago!

Chasing Amy is a good movie, but it isn't as funny as Kevin Smith's other works. It has more of a message than Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, but not as much as Dogma. Like other Smith movies, it features a most excellent ensamble cast, feature two faves, Matt Damon and Jason Lee.

Once in a lifetime comes a Director/writer with the talent of Kevin Smith. Chasing Amy is a great movie that is both hilarious and also touching.Chasing Amy is a defining movie in the History of cinema and easily one of the best movies in the 1990's.With an actor like Jason lee it is not hard to see why this film works so well he is possibly the best actor of this or any other generation. The rest of the cast Ben Affleck and Joey Lauren Adams are sublime as well. Kevin Smith I salute you.

I haven't seen Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back yet, but I'm pretty sure that's gonna be Kevin Smith's funniest movie. However, if you want an excellent plot and very good characters, Chasing Amy is the way to go. I found myself identifying with the characters in the movie, almost to the point where I saw them as real people. In case that's not easily understood, what I mean is that the characters deal with very real situations, so it makes them very believable. You have to see this movie.

An excellent movie to unwind and laugh with. From start to finish either Jason Lee, S.B. or Jay will have you cracking up. Pretty much any Kevin Smith movie is a safe bet if your looking for comedy. He keeps his circle of people in his new movies for obvious reasons and entertainment value is one of them. Rent it/buy it, watch it and enjoy!!!

Funny yet tragic. Very much like life. As a guy, you can honestly learn a lot about how you treat relationships and maybe how you should be looking at things from now on. I personally grew a little by understanding circumstances and situations better that have hit close to home.

Chasing Amy was definently one of the best love stories ever been told through film. The feelings are so real, and the speaches throughout the film pertain exactly to real life love situations. Kevin Smith writes this movie as though you would write it, only in the most amazing way possible. A great movie!

This is by far not only one of the best films that Kevin smith has ever made but also one of the best romance films of all time. Ben Affleck shows that he is truly one of the best actors of the next generation. Jason Lee gives an outstanding performance as Ben's sidekick.(Where was the Oscar nomination?)Joey Lauren Adams is astonishing as the female lead. The best thing about this movie is the realism. It shows that there are no easy solutions regarding matters of the heart. This is definitely one of THE date movies to see.

This film has a lot in common with other Kevin Smith films, like the humor,the actors, and the place in which it happens, but it`s different because although you laugh, you also cry, because it`s the best ever love film, it`s even better than Doctor Zhivago, and no comments of this boring film called Titanic, the final it`s incredible you will cry really a lot because it`s really romantic and sad

This was a wonderful movie that I find myself watching over and over. The chemistry between Jason Lee and Ben Affleck is absolutely wonderful, and hilarious. This is by far Kevin Smiths best work to date. If youve never seen any of Kevin Smiths work before you may want to watch Clerks, and then Mallrats first since all three sort of intertwine. (But its not necessary)

Once again Kevin Smith has opened our eyes to a few of the trueisms that he is party to. This heart breaking tale combines truely crushing tragicomedy with well crafted light humour in a way witch shows no gaps in plot or character. Each of the main characters is beautifuly writen and artfully played. This film has not been afraid to develope character or hit a watcher where it hurts. Though the major speechs of the film are done as part of diologue they have the feel of soliloquys and the power which a well thought out monologue can have. Particularly strong was Ben Afflecks characters plea for Joey Lauren Adams characters love which would bring trars to the eyes of anyone who has felt thwarted love. Kevin Smiths own apearance as the rarely heard silent Bob with his annoying partner Jay keeps the film in context of Smiths series of films about love and life in the 90's though this is in many respects a more thoughtful film than even Clerks. Other high points were the song which Adams sings in the gay bar which shows the actresses talent for song. I wish it had ended differantly but I realise the terible cop out that would have been.

This is by far one of the most funniest movies yet. Smith does a good job mixing comedy with a heart touching romance. The difference between this comedy/romance and others of it's time is the way that Smith pinpoints real life. He doesn't add the corny little stereotypical view of most love stories. Anyone who is anyone can relate in some way to this story line. Smith just seem to get better with every movie he makes--and he has a great eye for talent--taking unknown actors and propelling them to the next level(Afflec, Lee) If you enjoy this one keep your eyes opened in mid-november for his latest work--"DOGMA" It is anticipated to be his best work yet.....
