    I'm a fan to a variety of genre. When i listened to Glitter last year, i didn't think it was that bad. Most of the critics here are basically repeating and quoting what they have read in the press esp about the break down and all. You weren't there ...to actually know what happenned. I love many tracks on the album especially the ballads. Her voice was wonderful. Okay now lets talk about charmbracelet. Breathy purrs that you hear on the album is a vocal style and its not easy to do. People are so used to mariahs vocal acrobatics. Here Mariah showcases her vocal flexibility. That's her trademark..to suddenly belt out in the middle of breathy riffs. She has never been better. Compare it to Most 'DIVA' who can only use their normal singing voice and could even mix their falsetto and their pitch smoothly. And Mariah did it easily plus her Minnie Ripperton. But on the other hand, i do miss the time when she would just belt out screaming in her song. She did that in NEVER TOO FAR (Glitter) but no one even care to notice that. Not even an airplay in the US of A. That single was very good. And if u want to review based on what you have heard of or read, don't bother. Take a listen first..then review. The film was not that bad either . She was not a born actress. BUT you should watch the WISE GIRL!!!!! She was SUPRISINGLY GOOD in that. She has got good reviews. You go Mariahhhh!! She has just found her forte.Of all the songs my favourites are, sunflower for Alfren Roy, My Saving Grace, Yours, Clown, I only wanted and TTR. I love her prorific song writing skills.     Pros: MARIAH IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!!!!

    Cons: THIS CD IS JUST ABSOLUTELY ONE OF MARIAH'S BEST ALBUMS!

    I just can't believe how amazing this CD came to be. Her ballads are breath taking and her upbeat hits like Bringin' On the Heartbreak, Yours, Boy(I need you), Lullaby (spectacular)are sooooooooo awesome! Her ballads such as Through the Rain... and My Saving Grace are so beautifully sang by the lovely MC! (Christina can't even hit MC's high notes. Not even Beyonce) Her voice is so celestial and just wow it's so unbelievable. Her lyrics are very passionate and impressive. What I find so impressive is that she composes her own material. This CD is definitely a must have because anyone who knows what good music is all about should have a copy of this CD. What's even more amazing is that Mariah is already working on her next CD due out by late 2004! Baby! She's already half way done with her next album while touring all across the world. She is also going to do a duet with another amazing singer, STEVIE WONDER! Since when do you see Christina or Beyonce touring across the globe, NEVER! Mariah is and will always be the best singer in the world!! She has touched the hearts of millions. Why do you think she has so many loyal fans? Britney or J-Lo can't even be compared to Mariah, they never will be. I did not mean to degrade other singers/artists it's just that Mariah has not been treated right and justly by the media! So anyone who values and knows what good music is you should go get yourself a copy of Charmbracelet! and Mariah's recent release of her REMIX ALBUM! That's another must have!!!     This is a really good cd to me. I love the way she sings. Her singing makes me cry sometimes because I can feel it. You know you did a good job when someone can feel and relate to your music. I also love to sing her songs to my friends sometimes and ...sometimes they say I sing like her and I am really honored when they say that because she is a excellent singer.I just love her cd.     Excellent album! Very ahead of its time, but still very Mariah. Will get the credit it deserves in the future.Cover art + booklet is of such a high quality, it's very creative and classy, kudos to the designers! Each song is linked on the disc by... a charm illustration, and these accompany the lyrics in the booklet. The photos are gorgeous, and have are printed with a gold film over them for a metallic sheen. Downloading one or two tracks can not replace that experience. Buy the real thing! Read more Less
