Tenor man Charlie May has been a professional musician for the past 50 years. About 25 of those years were spent on the road performing with a variety of bands and groups. In the years 1950 through 1954 he played with a youth band at the "Parisian Room" on Royal St. every Sunday afternoon the feature band, Tony Almerico's Dixieland Jazz All-Stars, would have the junior band play during their breaks.
