I loved the movie. The actors are great. But I think the first part was kinda boring. But the middle and last part were great.

This movie is great I like the acting on Penn and Fox they were great in this movie...one of the best from Vietnam.

Michael J. Fox portrays a soldier of honor and principl in this true story. Playing such a role was a stretch for him, and I had even read that it was very difficult for him to complete this movie. It is a soul-twisting movie to watch, but it shows how doing the right thing may not always be easy, but necessary.

When I watched at the beginning, I was not sure if it will be a good or a fake one. But it's going better in the middle and at the end.
But I think Micheal J. Fox is not an actor for war movies. In this movie he is to much "the hero". This seems a kind of unrealisticly. Sean Penn is better in his role. Where the group of soldiers with Fox and Penn rape and kill the girl, that seems really terrible. A part of a good war movie. The ending is very good, too. So, if you like war movies, you MIGHT like this movie, but that's not a must. I think it is o.k. But there are better movies, for example "Der schmale Grat" (Sorry, it's just the German title).Was this review helpful? Yes - No
