Best Digital Camera on The Market For the Price!!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Sep 7, 2005 | 68 out of 71 found this Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z750 review helpful

    Pros: Excellent Quality,Brilliant Screen&SceenSize,Compact,

    ction

Cons: Probability of not Making the Most of all The Features if your not well versed in Computers/Cameras.THE NEED FOR THE CRADLE TO CHARGE

This Casio is far better then any other Camera I have had, the build quality surpasses the Sony and the Canon by far, the screen is without a doubt the Biggest and the Best picture on the Market. With over 21 Modes and being able to see your picture ...in Black and White Sepia, Drawings you name it right there and then it truly is way ahead of its time and in a class of its own. With the "comparable" Canon at a price of 499.00 my 449.00 at Target Casio was a steal and I have not even a one bad thing to say, except do not lose the cradle in which you need to charge the battery otherwise well you lose out on the camera until you contact casio and pay the 50 bucks and wait for it to be shipped to you! Good Luck to all! Read more Less

Great Camera, but a little fragile

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 13, 2005 | 27 out of 29 found this Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z750 review helpful

Pros: Take great pictures and videos

Cons: Motor for the lense is problematic

I bought this camera six month ago and have used it to take many great pictures on our family vacations and travelling to other countries. The camera is very easy to use, the size is great to just put it in your pocket. I had two other digital camera...s before--A Olympus and a Sony, and this little Casio beat those two in picture quality, overall design and convenience. The vedio quality is the best for a digital camera (just don't zoom in when taking vedio, otherwise you'll lose resolution). As great as this camera is, unfortunately it had the quality issue from its lense error. Just a couple of weeks ago I found the exactly same problem as the previous review here--when turned on the camera and shoot, the pictures were fuzzy because the lense failed to focus, and when I zoomed in, the picture was as good as before. The probelm came from lense error, which is caused by the motor. As a convenience feature, you can turn on camera from on/off button on the top or from another button from the back, this is convenient but may also easily cause the camera to be turned on accidentially and may cause damage to the motor for the lense when lense opens and hit on something. Also, becasue of its size, when you turn on the camera and you fingers may be in the way of the lense, the motor could be damaged if your fingers stopped the lense from opening properly. I believe the lense error problem of my camera has been caused by the latter. Overall, this has been a great camera and I've enjoyed it very much. Lots of users have had the same lense error issue and hope Casio could improve the quality soon. I'll have to take mine for repair under warranty. Read more Less

    Lens error/no focus

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Sep 6, 2005 | 54 out of 87 found this Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z750 review helpful

    Pros: Good features

    Cons: Poor Quality

I bought this camera four weeks ago. Great camera if you are lucky enough to get one that works. I had exchanged it two times! other words two out three did not work properly and showed the same problem that shows as follow: The camera works just fin...e for 2 or 3 days then the first sing of problems is that when you turn it on and try to focus (1/66, F2.8, ISO 100) it just doesn’t focus (the small square gives you a red one the shooter is half pressed), however if you move the zoom to a different position works fine. As you use it deteriorates to the point that when you move the zoom in or out it turns off and display the message “lens error” this keep appearing more and more until it becomes unusable. I had the same issue with the first two cameras (the original purchase, and the first exchange) I am now on my third (yes it is crazy!!) this last one appears to be from a different mfg date or lot (you can tell by the S/N). Great Camera

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Nov 28, 2005 | 14 out of 16 found this Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z750 review helpful

Pros: Pictures crystal clear, great movies with sound but less room on SD card, Features galore

Cons: docking station to charge and download, focus feature freezes the picture temporarily

Great picture. Large format. Very sleek so it fits in your pocket. movies are smaller than other formats. So many great options and there are bubble windows when youchange options so you can read what the icons are that you have turned on. Which is g...reat when my wife uses it because she doesn't care to remember all of the icons. The docking station is a setback but the battery lasts a long time for a weekend trip, A SD card reader removes the need for a docking station. Even if you do need to bring the docking station to charge the camera it is rather small and kept in your suitcase. I am hoping to keep this camera a long time as our vacation/weekend point and shoot camera. Read more Less

    Movies

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Aug 10, 2005 | 16 out of 22 found this Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z750 review helpful

Pros: Great camera, loads of features, excellent quality, takes a bit of practise to learn to use effectively

Cons: Movies won't play in Windows Powerpoint. Movies do play in Media Player but when linked to PPT, don't play. Reqested help from Casio but no success to date.

I like the size, the features, and the quality of engineering and workmanship. To date (two months use), no complaints except the one noted in the cons section.

Casio Never Did Quality Testing on This Camera

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 13, 2006 | 8 out of 8 found this Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z750 review helpful

Pros: Small, Nice screen, Nice Preview Zoom

Cons: It just does not work, has many malfunctioning problems

One of the previous reviews summerized some of the problems I am having with this camera. It does not focus based on your desire, rather, it decides which zoom it wants and turns the square to green. Otherwise, it keeps on putting a red square. The &...quot;lens Error" message comes up any time you try to zoom more than quarter of the slide. The picture quality is way below what I expect from a camera with this price. I demand from the company to do a recall and refund my money. This is pure disregard to all what we learned about respecting the customer. Casio has faild the test. I think they should go back to making calculators!!!!! Thank you and please do not be fooled by the good reviews. Read more Less

    Great toy!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 9, 2005 | 4 out of 4 found this Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z750 review helpful

Pros: Has many features to take pictures at any time of day and almost anywhere

Cons: Could use a bit of shot stability feature byt may be my configuration

I bought this camera over 2 months ago, and I discovered its features on a recent Disney visit. I was able to take pictures with differents kinds of light. I also took great pictures and video of their firework show and electric parade, and it came g...reat. I strongly suggest getting a tripod, for better stability and maximum use of some of their features. If you get this 7.2 megapixels, you will be able to print with great quality. Remember to read the manual to get familiar with all of its features. Great value compared to what is available in the market as of today. Read more Less

    Almost perfect digicam/camcorder

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 6, 2005 | 4 out of 4 found this Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z750 review helpful

Pros: Small, Sharp, Fast, Mpeg 4 Video, manual adjustments

Cons: no ISO 800 and 1600, bad default settings, non-standard Mpeg 4, video not perfect

My wife almost use this everyday to take video of our baby. 1gb of memory will give you over 1hr of video footage at 640x480. It rivals the quality of many camcorders out there. Picture quality is also good, rivaling the Canon SD500 series camera, si...nce it uses the same CCD sensor. The size is slightly taller than the Canon SD200, but has almost equal thickness and length. Picture taking is sharp and fast. ISO 400 is usable, though not perfect. I would like to see noise levels equalling the Fuji F10/F11 series cameras. The default settings for saturation, contrast, and sharpness are over done though, and will make your subjects look like they've been out sunbathing. Fortunately, you can tune the settings down in manual mode. In video mode, the camera does not allow you to zoom, and the focusing mechanism while on video is a hit and miss. No pocket digital camera is perfect, but this will give you the best bang for the buck at $350. Read more Less

    The best digital camera

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Nov 26, 2005 | 4 out of 5 found this Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z750 review helpful

    Pros: very good camera

Cons: I rate it the best ever

I bought this camera before and it's been the best digital camera I've ever have in my life and you can also record videos with it and copy to a DVD or VHS blank tape. It has great high resolution so your pictures come out clear and beautiful... I highly recommend you all to buy it cause it's the best and you will be very happy with it. It is a small camera it will even fit in your pocket. Be sure to buy a case for it to protect it when you aren't using it so it doesn't get scratched up ok. It's perfect for yourself or as a holiday gift. Have a great holiday season.... Read more Less

    Great Camera

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Dec 7, 2005 | 3 out of 4 found this Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z750 review helpful

Pros: Light weight, great battery power

Cons: PC Picture Software and Users Guide

This is a great camera. I shopped around and got a great price. This is my first digital camera. No problems with the pictures or the screen. The battery power is fantastic, the size is great, and the pictures and photo options are really nice. The ...user guide isn't very user friendly. If you are not electronic savy, it may take some time to figure out this camera. The software to load the pictures on my PC is also not very user friendly. The only way I can crop and edit pictures is by loading into a different application (such as HP photo director). Read more Less
