Once you've got the new EXILIM Zoom EX-Z750 in your hands, you won't want to part with it: 7.2 megapixels, 3x optical zoom and a large 2.5-inch TFT colour display as well as an optical viewfinder. The digital camera will thrill you with innovative technology and outstanding power. It makes photography a special experience.

The finishing on the compact digital camera with its matt-brushed metal casing is not only high quality and well-designed, but thanks to the EXILIME Engine also extremely powerful. In addition, it also impresses with unbelievable speed: the camera is ready for use in approx. 0.9 seconds and impresses with a shutter-release delay of only approx. 0.007 seconds. When ready, the door is open for diverse photo ideas and movies - the EX-Z750 takes up to 325 pictures with just one charging of the SUPER LIFE battery. It keeps fast sequence photos and snapshots just as ready as manual setting possibilities for creative picture compositions. The EXILIM user can access them simply and quickly via the mode dial. Additionally, the EX key allows fast access to the basic functions of the EX-Z750. If you prefer to rely on pre-recorded scenes, you can choose the BESTSHOT function. The picture scenarios typical for EXILIM were increased by new BESTSHOT programs. With "Art Shot", for example, photos become small works of art that seem to stem from painting. Whether pastel, pop or cross screen filter - the imagination knows no borders. However, the program "ID Shot" is business-oriented and automatically duplicates a photographed portrait several times and arranges it on a photo in the right size for official documents. The "Continuous Zoom Shooting", which is also new, saves having to choose the right zoom factor. With one click of the shutter release it takes two pictures at the same time with different image sections. The autofocus light assist provides even better focusing in a dark environment, and dark motifs are well-illuminated thanks to the integrated flash with red eye-reduction.

Moments intended to be taken in motion are recorded with sound by the small lifestyle camera as a movie in MPEG-4 format without time limit. The EXILIM user will become the perfect director once and for all with the new Movie BESTSHOT function, which offers creative scope when recording movies. For example, the Past Movie function: it continuously records where the person filming aims the lens. After pressing the shutter release it also stores the last five seconds before the beginning of the recording. On the other hand, short movies of up to eight seconds long are shot in the Short Movie function. Here too, the EXILIM user can freely choose the start of the recording and decide whether the film should be recorded before, during or after the shutter release has been pressed. If you would like to print out the single picture of a movie, you can do this in the Motion Print function. It releases a single picture as a photo from the movie and joins it together on request with eight other randomly selected pictures into a collage. The USB docking station with high-speed USB 2.0 is used for the transfer of the picture data on the PC and supports PictBridge and USB Direct Print Standard. Movies and photos can also be viewed directly on the television by means of AV-output to the docking station or the optionally available AV cable.

Besides the SUPER LIFE battery and docking station, the package also includes USB cable, extensive software on CD-ROM and hand carrier straps. In the current EXILIM look are optionally available a fast battery charger, portable AV cable for connecting the camera directly with the TV and other accessories as well as camera bags and neck straps, a media case for storing memory cards and other accessories.

Best Digital Camera on The Market For the Price!!

    Pros: Excellent Quality,Brilliant Screen&SceenSize,Compact,

    ction

Cons: Probability of not Making the Most of all The Features if your not well versed in Computers/Cameras.THE NEED FOR THE CRADLE TO CHARGE

This Casio is far better then any other Camera I have had, the build quality surpasses the Sony and the Canon by far, the screen is without a doubt the Biggest and the Best picture on the Market. With over 21 Modes and being able to see your picture ...in Black and White Sepia, Drawings you name it right there and then it truly is way ahead of its time and in a class of its own. With the "comparable" Canon at a price of 499.00 my 449.00 at Target Casio was a steal and I have not even a one bad thing to say, except do not lose the cradle in which you need to charge the battery otherwise well you lose out on the camera until you contact casio and pay the 50 bucks and wait for it to be shipped to you! Good Luck to all! Read more Less

Great Camera, but a little fragile

By Hui  Dec 13, 2005 | 27 out of 29 found this Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z750 review helpful

Pros: Take great pictures and videos

Cons: Motor for the lense is problematic

I bought this camera six month ago and have used it to take many great pictures on our family vacations and travelling to other countries. The camera is very easy to use, the size is great to just put it in your pocket. I had two other digital camera...s before--A Olympus and a Sony, and this little Casio beat those two in picture quality, overall design and convenience. The vedio quality is the best for a digital camera (just don't zoom in when taking vedio, otherwise you'll lose resolution). As great as this camera is, unfortunately it had the quality issue from its lense error. Just a couple of weeks ago I found the exactly same problem as the previous review here--when turned on the camera and shoot, the pictures were fuzzy because the lense failed to focus, and when I zoomed in, the picture was as good as before. The probelm came from lense error, which is caused by the motor. As a convenience feature, you can turn on camera from on/off button on the top or from another button from the back, this is convenient but may also easily cause the camera to be turned on accidentially and may cause damage to the motor for the lense when lense opens and hit on something. Also, becasue of its size, when you turn on the camera and you fingers may be in the way of the lense, the motor could be damaged if your fingers stopped the lense from opening properly. I believe the lense error problem of my camera has been caused by the latter. Overall, this has been a great camera and I've enjoyed it very much. Lots of users have had the same lense error issue and hope Casio could improve the quality soon. I'll have to take mine for repair under warranty. Read more Less

    Casio Exilim EX-Z750

Casio packs a wealth of features into the compact Exilim EX-Z750. Casio's $450 Exilim EX-Z750 will suit almost any photographer hunting for a small, pocketable camera. Occasional photographers will find automatic settings and plenty of scene modes to help them get better shots, while experienced shooters will appreciate the creative control they get by using the camera's solid selection of advanced features. Encased in a slim metal body, the EX-Z750 is small enough for you to carry everywhere. The camera's 3X zoom lens is standard fare, but the 2.5-inch LCD is enormous and fills most of the camera's back. Surprisingly, Casio found room for a small optical viewfinder, which lets you shoot in extreme lighting conditions and allows you to extend the camera's battery life by turning off the LCD.
