One of the greatest female songwriters of the golden era of popular song, Carolyn Leigh wrote several uptown standards, including "Witchcraft," "Young at Heart," "The Best Is Yet to Come," "Firefly," "Hey, Look Me Over," "Pass Me By," and "It Amazes Me." Born in 1926, Leigh was writing lyrics for the Broadway musical +Peter Pan by 1954. She also worked on +Wildcat (1960) and +Little Me (1962).
