Inspired by vintage Western swing and rockabilly, Cari Lee the Saddleites make urbane "hillbilly" music that harks back to the best artists of the '40s and '50s. Centered around vocalist Cari Lee Merritt and her husband guitarist Steve Merritt's vocals, the Austinbased group released its debut album, Red Barn Baby on El Toro in 2002.
