    Captains Courageous - One of the all tim

    This movie is by far one of the all time best films of movie history. The storyline is gripping and moving. You move from emotion to emotion with this film. There's action, adventure, drama, comedy, and an underlying moral that is expertly portrayed ...through the great acting. Spencer Tracy is excellent in this film. You can't help but love the character that he plays in this film. He won an oscar for this performance, and you can clearly see why. Freddie Bartholomew is wonderful. When the film begins, you want to hate him and you'd love to see him spanked. But, by the end of the film you feel so sorry for him and his acting practically moves you to tears. Other good performances in this film include Lionel Barrymore who portrays the salty old caption of the fishing schooner. All in all, this film is one of my all time favorite movies. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor! They don't get any better than this!!! Read more Less
