Synopsis: Captain January (1936)

Poor, perennially orphaned Shirley washes up from a shipwreck into the arms of a photogenically crusty lighthouse keeper who raises the little castaway with pluck and determination, qualities she'll need when the nasty truant officer tries to separate the two. Standard Temple plot, but better than average.

    can't go wrong for good clean family movie. shirley's at one of her best, great fun and singing as always. i grew up watching it always love more and more. every time i see it i catch something different.
