Jamaica's dancehall tradition was veered back towards its musical and Rastafarian roots by Peter Tosh-like vocalist Capleton (born: Clifton Bailey). A phenomenon at the 1990 Reggae Sunsplash, Capleton has gone on to become one of reggae's most successful vocalists with such dancehall hits as "No. 1 on the Look Good Chart," "Woman Mi Lotion" and the risque "Bumbo Red." Capleton's debut album, Prophesy, released in 1995, included the Caribbean Music Awards' single of the year, "Taxi."
