    Pros: everything about it except for the noise

    Cons: makes a whrrrrrrrrrrr sound all the time

    I was shopping for a video camera to use for a family outing when I saw the new cannon ZR85, I read the specs and it seems like an amazing video camera so I immediately ordered it online, when I got it I was like “wow this is so neat” since its so ...compact that it actually fits perfectly in your hand and It came with all the “nice stuff”. It came so complete you wont need to buy anything else aside from the minidv tape of course (duh!) or if you want extra accessories.So what’s in the box?Video Camera ( of course!),Remote,Lens cap,usb cable,video cable,Charger,Batteries for the camcorder, remote and timer/date,Shoulder strap.Nice isn’t it? But my excitement with all the gadgets immediately disappeared for I was greatly disappointed when I heard a whrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sound coming from the camcorder, this camcorder should have been great if not for that noise, AND WHERE IS THAT NOISE COMING FROM!!!??? Well where else buts in its tape compartment. I was thinking that maybe it wont mix with the videos, so I tried making a short video and played it back, and guess what? ITS STILL THERE!!! The sound could actually be heard on the background, so i called the canon customer service and asked why the camcorder is doing that and if there is anything i can do to lessen the noise, but guess what?? they said that the camera is really like that and there is nothing wrong with the one i bought, they said either return it or ill have to settle with it....I was so depressed for this is my first video camera ( and i saved for it) and it did’nt meet my expectations, so now I am going to ship it back and return it. I guess if your more of a person who likes to put music on your videos the noise wouldn’t bother ,but if its more of like a family thing like a birthday or reunion, or for school projects, this isnt the camera to buy…..
