Alignment Issue
Pros: Good picture, good for off shoulder shooting
Cons: Cannot play back from Sony decks
Tapes shot with the XL2 can NOT be played back from Sony decks (DSR-11, HVR-M15). This means you will always have to use the XL2 to capture footage. Quite annoying and impossible if your tapes will be edited in a Sony environment.
The problem arrises from an alignment issue of this Canon camera.
