    Very nice solid point & shoot that takes a great picture considering the limitations of such a small camera. I have no issues at this time. Underated camera with all the models available in the SD class from Canon. The IS function really works in thi...s size camera. I had an SD 1000 that I gave up because of the IS feature. The price can be a bit hefty for this camera but if you shop around you can find a reasonable price that makes it worth it. I compared this to the SD 1100is and chose the 790is because it was slightly larger and seemed to have a more quality construction/feel to it. Pictures were very very similiar to me. The camera has an easy mode and many other automatic setting and options. I prefer to shoot in manual mode and adjust a few settings for my own control. The camera has just enough manual settings for control but not too many that you can get lost in and end up with lousy shots because of inexperience. So far this camera has met my needs and I am very happy with the quality. Read more Less

    Being a 50 yr old in texas, I sometimes have a hard time with some of these new gadgets. This camera takes it's own pictures formats them and prints them all automatically it seems like. I LOVE IT!

    I've had this camera for almost a year now and I still love it. Canon is very durable and sturdy. Offers tons of features and settings. Very clear and crisp photos!! Great compact size. Only slight con is when photos are taken with the flash off...- hard to keep steady and turns out blurry ... but that's with any camera. Great compact camera for the price. Read more Less

    Pros: fast, accurate lock autofocus

    Cons: wash out high light

    very fast autofocus with the help of face detection. EV -0.7 will void the overexposure habit. Color rendition is great. Very happy PnS with little price, the IS makes it a win win for macro and low light at low ISO. In good light and a little techni...que in mind, it challenges any dSLR. Read more Less
