Pros: I have a problem with it
Cons: is it worth it to repair or not?
I purchased it 2 years ago, Loved it but recently had a problem with it. I did take care of it well, used it a lot, but never dropped or etc.
Not recently when I try to take a picture it doesn't display anything on the LCD it is totaly black. and when I take the picture sometimes it comes black, or washed out way you don't see anything.
Do you have any idea? Recommendations?
I have put a new battery and the problem still accures.
Thanks.
Pros: NO blur, even when I jump up and down and I move or my subject moves. Crystal clear, sharp detailed pictures, Incredible shutter speed.
Cons: No warranty outside of Japan
I've recently purchased a Konica Kinolta DiMage z6 and it sucked! The images were always blurry, no matter what and they picture wasn't clear. I also purchased a Polaroid 5 megapixel and got similar results. So, I did a lot of research, went to Best Buy..where they actually let you test out every camera you want and take pictures, mess with the features and I found this Canon, and was simpli shocked at the quality of my pictures! I couldn't be happier with this camera, everything looks so crisp and professional. I move around a lot when I take pictures,
Pros: Image stabilization, the modes really work to make great pictures.
Cons: Figuring out how to use all of the modes.
I got my new SD700 in December 2006. It is by far the best camera I have ever had. Great pictures. Now that I have figured out and memorized how to use all of the modes, my pictures are turning out amazing. I especially LOVE the indoor mode for inside shots and use the digital macro for super fine image close-ups... WOW. Also, I love the quick snap time, you push the button and the picture is taken! No lag time. The tiny size of the camera is a huge plus too. It goes in my purse, and it's always handy! The battery lasts a very very long time. I have recharged it maybe 4 times in as many months, and I have taken probably over 1000 images and 10 or so long videos. The battery light has actually never come on!!! Three little things could be slightly improved... the tiny on/off button is hard to see, the wheel mode selector is a little awkward until you get used to it, and the camera could use a bit more zoom. These little problems have been corrected on the SD800 (my good friend just bought one, and she LOVES it). Still, I love my camera. It is perfect for me!
Pros: none
Cons: many
I bought this camera two months ago.
The pictures weren't that good at all, and I wasn't happy.
The camera's screen is very fragile. and it broke while being in a safe case inside a bag !!!
I shipped it to Canon services and repairs, and they wanted $160 for repairing. Of course I told them to forget about it.
If you buy Canon just know that NOBODY will help you if you need anything
Pros: stylish
Cons: i dnt khow
i bought a camera last year quite good
Pros: It's there when you need it,very quick to get that shot.
Cons: Get a screen protector,it's cheap and worth it.
I'm an Artist and no matter how good my memory is the camera always shows me exactually what I thought I saw,it does'nt miss a thing,it's size makes it a perfect extension to my mind.I know the other small camera's do the same but this one I can trust always.
Pros: good!
Cons: good!
Zin rất thick có một cái máy quay, cả chụp ảnh luôn, cái này có vẻ hay đây..nhìn nhỏ gọn , màu cũng đẹp...CHứ

Pros: NO blur, even when I jump up and down and I move or my subject moves. Crystal clear, sharp detailed pictures, Incredible shutter speed.
Cons: It was really expensive, but it was 100% worth it!

I move around a lot when I take pictures, so it was mandatory that whatever camera I owned be able to accomodate that, and this one does! No blur, no dragging of the image...just perfect pictures! I suggest if you're hesitant, to go try them out at Best Buy or a camera store to see for yourself! I LOVE IT!!

Pros: Great pictures; compact
Cons: Durability is not good
First, ultimately this camera is good... I'm not bashing it... Another reviewer posted "Do not drop this camera..." I couldn't agree more... Granted, yes, the easy response to say is, "Well, hold on to the camera." Let's face it - we all drop stuff... And, when we pay GOOD money for a product, we expect quality, agreed? I bought my first SD700 from Best Buy in December 06 and, while taking a picture at a club, I was bumped and dropped the camera... It was a very short fall and it broke the camera... I returned it to Best Buy and they exchanged it for a new one... Had a friend taking a group picture of friends on New Years Eve and dropped it.... Broken once again... Canon - you really need to make this camera MUCH more durable... I have a couple of very high end SLR's I've dropped and dinged and they have NEVER broken once... Again, good camera but they really need to address this issue... I'm not the only one who is reporting this...
Pros: Awesome pictures, great VIDEO, easy features
Cons: Some red eye, no case, no battery meter until it's low
I expected this camera to take good pictures, which it does, but I did expect the video to be of such high quality. While I'm not going to retire my real video camera yet, I will likely use the ELPH700 for more short "snap shot" type videos.
For video, the ELPH is good for well-lighted shots and it only focuses one time when you start, so it's not good for night video or subjects that move in and out of your focus range, but as long as you know that you'll get some nice DVD quality vids when a standard picture won't do.
I read some reviews that the battery doesn't last a long time. Not true. As long as you buy a real Canon battery it lasts a very long time. Unfortunately, there is no meter so you still need a backup battery, just in case.
The other thing that is great about all of the ELPHs is that all of the features are easy to get to. You don't have to wade through endless menus to get to them. You can change setting quickly and not lose the shot while you're fiddling with the camera.
