    Pros: NO blur, even when I jump up and down and I move or my subject moves. Crystal clear, sharp detailed pictures, Incredible shutter speed.

    Cons: It was really expensive, but it was 100% worth it!

    I've recently purchased a Konica Kinolta DiMage z6 and it sucked! The images were always blurry, no matter what and they picture wasn't clear. I also purchased a Polaroid 5 megapixel and got similar results. So, I did a lot of research, went ...to Best Buy..where they actually let you test out every camera you want and take pictures, mess with the features and I found this Canon, and was simpli shocked at the quality of my pictures! I couldn't be happier with this camera, everything looks so crisp and professional. I move around a lot when I take pictures, so it was mandatory that whatever camera I owned be able to accomodate that, and this one does! No blur, no dragging of the image...just perfect pictures! I suggest if you're hesitant, to go try them out at Best Buy or a camera store to see for yourself! I LOVE IT!! Read more Less

    Beware of the IXY 800 IS - same camera no warrenty

    Pros: Physically the same great camera as the SD700 IS and is $75 cheaper

    Cons: No warranty outside of Japan

    So I ordered from the cheapest place listed, and failed to notice that they had the camera listed as a SD700 IS/IXY800 IS (the SD700 IS in big font, the IXY800 IS in smaller font). Once it arrived it didn’t have a warranty card and the manual was a ...stapled together photocopy of a manual (I assume this isn’t normal). Looking at the box, it says very clearly: FOR JAPAN ONLY NOT INTENDED FOR SALE OUTSIDE JAPAN. CONTAINS NO WARRANTY FOR OUTSIDE JAPAN. Obviously the site I bought this from failed to note this little factoid… After mulling this over I have decided a 20% reeducation in cost mitigates the risk of no warranty (and the pain/cost of returning it…). However I just wanted to warn everyone else to be careful about what they are buying. Please vote this post useful so others don’t unwittingly make this mistake. As for the camera, it is great, the IS works very well, and it takes great pictures. Apart from the warranty issue I love this camera. Read more Less

    Canon PowerShot SD700 IS

    This attractive point-and-shoot camera features image stabilization, but it's pricey. Canon's Digital Elph models have always been very nicely made cameras, with finely machined metal bodies and high-quality controls. The latest Elph, the SD700 IS ($500 as of 6/15/06), takes that build quality to a new level. It's attractive without looking like a cheap bauble, with shiny accents in just the right places. Plus, it has image stabilization for sharper images. Read more
