Perfect little camera!
Pros: Small, lite & very easy to use!
Cons: Haven't found any.
I had always been a Sony person and just purchased this camera on the recomendation of a friend. What a great purchase! Iam 100% satisified! Much easier to use. Its so lite weight, I carry it with me all the time!

Initially I really liked this camera because of the size and the quality of canon cameras. But during this first year of having the camera in broke in the 6th month that I owned it. I had to send the camera back to canon for repair service for a "lens error" the lens froze open and it wouldn't close. The camera takes beautiful pictures as long as detail isn't too important. It doesn't have that great of a zoom capacity, and the features are a little hard to use, and the menu is a little bit confusing.

I've had several Canons before and like all of them I love this one, too! I got it last year for around $200 and had never problems until now. I months after my warranty expired it broke. Like if somebody timed it. I took it to a Zoo and they were using those sprinklers around animals. Of course I took some picts and got moist in the camera. It stopped working right away. Now Canon fixed it for me for $108. So it's a great camera but don't even think about taking it anywhere close to water!!!!!!

I have always bought a Sony Digital Camera. I got ride of my last Sony because It was only 7.2 MP. I went to a Kodak 12 MP camera just because I wanted more MP. It was not a very good camera. The quality of the pictures was the worst I ever had. I did alot of research and finally decided to buy the SD870 IS. I am not dis-appointed. I will keep this one for awhile. Mega-Pixels does not relate to picture Quality, only size.
