Excellent Camera

Pros: Style, weight, picture quality, ability to add features, long battery life, etc, etc.

Cons: None found so far

I purchased this camera about 2 months ago. I also own a Powershot S50, and a Powershot S60. I purchased the G6 for it's increased picture resolution, features, ability to add on items (flashes, lense adaptor w wide angle/macro lenses and filter...s, etc.). For the money the camera is excellent overall. A lense adaptor and/or filters are NOT needed for this camera, but are good additions if you plan on using this camera in a variety of lighting conditions. You do not need a filter for the built in flash, or a wide angle/zoom shot. The ability of ANY built in flash is limited, as is true in any camera you buy. I have purchased the lense adaptor (52mm) along with a UV filter, and the Canon 550ex flash for this camera. I love the flash; makes for incredible lighting control (once you learn how to use the flash properly). The inability to swap lenses as with the Pro 1 or DSLR cameras is a given, and I didn't buy it thinking I would be able to change the lense itself. The lense adaptor along with a wide angle/zoom or macro lense works wonderful. I would recommend this camera to anyone who is looking for a great quality camera at an intermediate user level. The camera will perform as a point and shoot camera, but has a wealth of features beyond that would are easy to use once you become familiar with them.
