Pros: 1.8" LCD Flip Out, Scene Shot, Manual Control, Nimh battery, 5 mp

    Cons: More Noise, purple fringing

This time I give 4 to Canon A95, I was hope this model will be much better upgrade from A80 (I had A80 also, see my review). To be honest, I'm little bit unhappy with Canon how they make this model, why? A95 body look cheaper than A80 body that h...as nice shape and look elegant. Both has the same shape but you will able to tell that A80 body better than A95, specially the lens ring.A95 has a few upgrade than A80, with 1.8" the lcd flip out bigger than A80 give you more view before you take the scene. Scene, new mode for A95, it was for A75 only, but now A95 has too, give you an easy control to take automatic pic, so as Point & Shot camera Canon really smart to add this feature in A95 (nice upgrade from A80). Everything else will be the same with A80 features. For the size of lens but more megapixel than A80, A95 picture little bit noise, at iso 200 A80 noise is acceptable, but you will notice more noise at this iso in A95. Purple fringing still problem for Canon in A model. The weight little bit light than A80. Battery life is longer and being trademark for Canon than another brand. With Custom White Balance (same as A80), A95 will give a filter color and very usefull to make a good picture (save money for not buying any filter lens). If you are looking an upgrade for A80, nothing much you can have from this model except the bigger lcd and scene shot. If you new and want to have P&S camera that has manual control and good quality picture, I will say grab this model and you will happy to have A95. Read more Less

Pros: Excellent quality images, great features, true colour,so simple to use.

    Cons: Will never find one

This is really an amazing camera. Although i was planning to buy one digital camera for the last one year or so none of the cameras fullfilled my criterias. After lot of hunting for the right camera Canon A 95 turned out to be the best. It's very... simple to operate, has excellent features, amazing picture quality. I bought this 10 days back and am really satisfied with photos i'm getting. I also bought 512 MB cf card and i have already shot more than 300 shots. It's just fantastic. It's fast shutter mode, landscape, macro modes produces just stunning pictures. Truely a great buy. Read more Less

    Canon PowerShot A95

While the A-series PowerShots do not offer the compact size of the Digital Elph/IXUS series, nor the solid metallic bodies of the S-series PowerShots, they offer well-thought out features and are very capable cameras. This is in evidence with the A95. Although this is a reasonably priced 5 megapixel camera, no critical shortcuts have been made to position the A95 at this price point, making it a very attractive model, especially in view of its excellent features. Canon PowerShot A95 Review

Canon has taken a popular camera and added just enough to make it even better. It's questionable whether you really need the extra million pixels for 'snapshots', but the results in this test show that the A95 has the optics and processor needed to squeeze the maximum possible information out of a scene. I was impressed by the build quality, and pleasantly surprised at just how good the results the A95 produces are. It's a lot smaller than the G5, but a lot easier to handle and a lot more stable in your hands than many of the 'sexier' ultra compact 5MP models on the market. It also has a feature set that rivals many cameras considerable more expensive. If the A95 proves anything it is that you don't need to spend a huge amount of money to get stunning results, a metal body and a wealth of photographic controls. Whether you're an absolute beginner - for whom the extensive new subject modes are ideal - or a seasoned snapper wanting total control, the A95 should certainly be on your sh... Read more
