Canon A630 - Can't Go Wrong

Pros: high quality images, easy to use, portable, great battery life

Cons: none

This was my first digital camera, purchased December 2006. It was very easy to learn and with a trusted name like Canon, you can't go wrong. I recommend this to beginners and beyond alike. It also has a convenient little video feature for any impromptu video needs. That aside, I learned so much about photography by using this camera. It is very forgiving. I quickly moved on to a DSLR - Canon 30D. The point and shoot provided a very easy transition. I still keep it with me for portability and to take places that don't allow professional cameras.

If on the fence about choosing cameras, stick with Canon.
