Decent Camera
Pros: Super Macros, colour features
Cons: doesn't last more than 2 years
I got my camera at the end of 2005 and took it everywhere with me while in europe for 2006. I took many many pictures with it and I love the features it has especially the colour swap and colour accent. The only problem with it is that towards the end of 2007 I started having problems with it and the length any batteries will last with it. I have changed all batteries in hope of it working better but each time I put in either freshly charged or new batteries it comes up with the low battery sign and doesn't last much longer then that. While it lasted though it worked great and I had very few problems with it.

This is an outstanding point and shoot camera for the price. The glass lens yields high quality results on a limited budget.

Pros: Good Quality Pictures

I bought a Canon Powershot A410 Camera last year, October 28, 2005 to be exact. I always wanted to have a camera for my personal use.
Take good pictures especially during picnics and my adventures.
There was no problem with my A410 until after 1 year. About 13 days after the warranty expired. The pictures taken captures brightly. And I have it checked at the Canon Service Center here in Manila and they told me that the shutter doesn't close anymore. It remains open the reason it could not be used during day time. If I had the camera repaired I'd pay 60% the price of the unit. The heck of it.
I asked the CSR who talked to me if I could talk with the manager, maybe I can ask that I wouldn't be charged that much 'cause the warranty just expired. But, sad to say, they wouldn't let me.
I decided to pull out the camera instead and try using it during night time. lol.
And I'd rather buy a new camera, than repair my A410 to be free from worry that the same would happen after a year.
I'm planning of getting Sony Cybershot W70. At least Sony has a 3 year warranty. Not Bad!
For those planning to own one A410 or updated versions, THINK FIRST BEFORE OWNING ONE. My problem could be yours too after a year.

I PURCHASED THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES TO GO WITH THIS CAMERA AND HAVE YET TO SEE LOW BATTERY FLASH. THIS CAMERA TAKES CLEAR, VIVID PICS WITHOUT HAVING TO SPEND $400 . I AM TRULY IN LOVE WITH MY CAMERA AND I TAKE IT EVERYWHERE WITH ME!!

Pros: easy to use, various modes, good macro
Cons: not appropriate for night photography
Good camera, affordable price. It has useful features for an
amateur photographer. You can take very good pictures in
various lighting conditions. I particularly like the macro focus
feature: you can get as close as 1.5 cm. This camera uses
two AA batteries which are available practically everywhere. I
strongly recommend this camera; you get a good value for
your money. One doesn't need a 5 megapixel camera to take
good photos.

I would prefer a longer exposure. The slowest shutter speed

Cons: price
An excellent camera with a great picture exposure and many options like an SLR camera. The high megapixel count is near 35mm quality. All around a very nice camera for one which is so compact.
