    Pros: good features

    Cons: fast battery life

this camera is full of standard features even a pro can love... i love its macro shoot but i hate its panorama views... i also hates its small flash.. cannot be use in nightime photography specially the group photography with your large friends or fa...mily get-together.. it will give you poor images even in the large pixel images... but the most thing i hate about this camera is its high power consumption... my alkaline batteries lasts only (with 16MB memory), to more or less 50 shots.. about two-24 shots films.... but on the good side, it uses a cheap AA batteries... just bring tons of them when u wanna go miles. Excellence at a fair price

    Pros: Good features

    Cons: Short battery life

I bought this camera about two weeks ago, and tested it for the whole two weeks and drew a conclusion that this camera is excellent. You get more quality from this camera than from others at a similar cost of US$ 200 (camera package + 2 x 2000mAH AA ...+ 2 x 1300mAH AA + Battery Charger + 128MB SDC + tripod)I rate this camera close to excellent and not fully excellent. It's easy to use, full of automated features (which may be switched to manual, excepting focus.)But in regard to its relatively low price, the overal rating is excellent. One thing, though, it will cost you a lot if you power your A400 using alkaline batteries. I immediately decided to purchase the rechargeable batteries and charger after the included batteries (which were alkaline) were drained to its last juice just after 20 shots (50% without flash) at 1600x1200 pixels + 10 seconds of video. DCRP Review: Canon PowerShot A400

Despite its low price, the Canon PowerShot A400 doesn't compromise on image quality. Aside from the occasional fuzzy background detail, the A400 takes very good photos, not bad for a camera costing about 150 bucks! While not the smallest camera around, the A400 (in your choice of four colors) is easy to take wherever you go. It's well-designed and doesn't feel cheap like some other entry-level cameras. Probably the biggest flaw on the A400 (if you can call it one) is the lens. It's not the 2.2X zoom that bothers me; rather, it's the fact that the lens starts at 45 mm -- not great for indoor shots.
