Pros: Only good for a beginning computer user

Cons: Many flaws for the average or above average user

This is a very low quality printer. It wastes huge amounts of my time doing seemingly nothing. Every time I power it up it wastes at least a minute or more of my time doing some sort of housekeeping chores. It won't tell you what it's doing b...ut it sure won't let you use it till it's done. And guess what, if you wait more than a few seconds between printings, it does the housekeeping chores all over again. And there's no way to stop it from doing this. Canon's software writers are responsible for this printer's failings. A more important fact is the quality of the printing is no where near what they stated it would be. I had a much less expensive Canon printer before this one that gave me identical results. And to add insult to injury, Canon is now putting computer chips on their ink cartridges so you can't use after market quality ink in their printer. You end up spending hundreds more than you planned to spend using their printers. Do yourself a favor & go to Walgreens or Kinkos to get your printing done. I am. Read more Less
