Print at up to 29ppm in mono and 19ppm in color. Or print a 10x15cm borderless photo in approximately 51 seconds in Standard mode. A copy speed of up to 28cpm in mono and 19cpm in color adds to overall productivity.
A Super G3 modem transmits faxes at up to 3 seconds per page. Dialing is quick and simple as 40 coded speed dials store your regular numbers. The 150-page fax memory safely stores all incoming faxes if paper or ink runs out - for printing out later.
Canon's 30-page Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) allows easy faxing, scanning and copying of multiple-page documents. This advanced All-in-One has an integrated duplex unit for double-sided printing and features two practical paper trays as well as DVD/CD label printing.
Canon's FINE technology with tiny 1pl ink droplets delivers a 9600 x2400dpi print resolution.
The built-in scanner has a 1200x2400dpi resolution for crisp and clear color scans. A USB2.0 Hi-Speed interface speeds up image transfer to your PC.
Print photos directly from all PictBridge compatible digital cameras and camcorders. No PC is needed. Enjoy excellent results just moments after your photos are taken.

Cons: expensive inks
I find the machine to be easy to use, not difficult to setup, in fact it was quite easy. The ink is an issue, as it is with all Canon printers. However, Canon quality is excellent. Faxing was good and the copying was fine. For what you pay for this unit, it is a great deal. I compared this machine to many other brands and models and this come out on top. Consumer Reports also find this machine to be very good. ...

This is my fourth Canon product and my third Canon printer since 1994.

This is a good printer.fax.scanner.cop
The basic text print is excellent. Color printing is bright and clear. When one makes a copy, it can be barely distinguished from the original.
The dual paper trays are a plus. The software is easy to use.
The interface to switch from copier, to fax, to scanner is wonderful and easy to use, it just takes a while to get use to it.
There are no card slots for the various digital camers data cards, only a usb plug from camera to photo printing.
This is a fine machine for someone that just wants something to work efficiently without the frills.
The price on this was great also. Canon has a Loyalty Program of which I was able to join and it got me an extra 10% off the final price when I directly purchased it from Canon. ...
