Waste of Money
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Not user friendly, No support, poor quality
After a few months, the machine locked up in error, claiming to need a toner cartrridge, even though one was in it. Support takes forever to asnwer, then recommends we replacxe the toner. No help, wasted money on new cartridge. Support then offers to take it back but keeps canceling our return orders claiming non-receipt of purchase invoice. Finally faxed then waited on phone til rep confirms she has it. 10 minutes later she calls back and claims because it was bought at an Ebay store, they are considering it used and no replacement coming.
Also, the controls are not intuitive and difficult to operate compaired to other brands. The nmachine is also quirky, demanding the tray sleeves be in perfectly before it will perform any operations, even irrelevent ones.
Hard to use, crashes after limited light use, and then support splits hairs on a brand new sealed box machine. It's cheap to buy, but not cheap enough considering it's disposable after a short time.Was this review helpful? Yes - NoWorthless

Cons: Multiple feed problems
This unit has been to the Cannon repair shop and it still feeds multiple pages. The driver that is for vista is difficult to downloan from the Cannon site. I have invested way too much of my time in this machine and may cut my losses and throw it away before I ever get it fully functional.

Pros: Receives faxes fine, print quality good
Cons: Sending faxes - multiple feeds
Grabs multiple pages when sending a fax. Have tried numerous methods to resolve but still fails. Technical Support is not useful. Perhaps they make good cameras but not happy with their business equipment. Keep shopping. There must be a product out there - in fact, any of them would do better.

Cons: Bad paper feeding, Makes noises when it prints.
This Canon Faxphone L80 is probably the worst fax machine I have ever owned. I have a business where one of the services we do is faxing. I bought it from Staples, paid a good price so I was expecting a lot better then it actually turned out. The worst thing about it is I have to keep an eye on it since when we fax it 4 out of 10 times it feeds 2 papers at a time. So when ever it does that I have to pull out second page before it feeds all the way in with the first page. And the thing is even worst then it prints out confirmation since most of the times it feeds in 4-5 pages just to print one page. And not only that it makes some kind of wierd noise when it prints anything out. Plus the speed is slow. I would not advise any one to buy is fax machine if you'll be using frequently.
