Pros: Razor sharp, inexpensive

Cons: No close focusing (macro), motor moves harshly

It is rare that I buy a product that pleases me as much as Canon's EF-50mm f/1.8 II lens. After using it just a few times with the Canon 350D Rebel, it became my favorite lens. I hesitate to even remove it from the camera- it is that much better ...than my other lenses (the kit lens that came with a camera, and a Sigma 70-300mm zoom. Being a bright lens (at f/1.8)- I can use it indoors even in low light without having to resort to a flash. And did I mention that it took sharp pictures? I highly recommend this lens. Read more Less
