    Please don't stop the music...

    The music and cast are icons of the times and for all future generations. They represented but a smidgeon of what the disco revolution was to those of us that appreciated it. This movie will always be a reflection of a grand time in our culture. The... Village People were a huge part of that culture and I could not love them more. Kudos to Nancy Walker and the entire cast for breaking the rules of society and indirectly encouraging people to be free in who they are and hide no more. Read more Less

    Okay, so this film got the 1981 raspberry award. Well you know to whom I give the raspberry? To the people who give the raspberry awards! They were totally off the ball. I couldn't stop "Can't Stop the Music," from being a blockbuster tour de force ...of scolding white hot entertainment. I burnt myself on the energy of the Village People. Musical of the millenium? Well, no, but this film was wonderful enough to make me realize that there is more to life than sitting at home in the basement with cheese cloth over one's head. Kudos to the village People, in all their sweaty splendor. Read more Less
